Eastern Class Championships 2011

20th Eastern Class Championships
March 4-6, 2011

The 20th Annual Eastern Class Championships was held March 4-6, 2011, at the Host Hotel at Cedar Lake, Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

Grandmaster Alex Shabalov won the Master Section thanks to a last round victory over GM-Elect Sam Shankland. Shabalov was tied with five others going into the final round but was the only player of the leading group to score a victory, ensuring sole possession of 1st place and $1370 in prize money.

All section standings are now final.
