30th Empire City Open

The 30th Annual Empire City Open was held from December 27-29, 2011, at the New Yorker Hotel, 481 Eighth Ave at 34th St, across from Penn Station, New York.
GM Alex Stripunsky finished with 5½ out of 6, winning $1,000 plus an additional $50 bonus for finishing clear first. GM Sergey Kudrin was sole second at 5-1, winning $500, while IM Irina Krush, IM Jay Bonin and Michael Vilenchuk tied for 3rd-5th with 4½-1½, taking home $150 a piece.
