2nd Golden State Open
January 14-17, 2011
The 2nd Annual Golden State Open took place over the Martin Luther King weekend from January 14-17, 2011, at the Concord Hilton Hotel, Concord, California.
GM Dejan Bojkov and IM John Bryant finished at the top of the standings with 5½ points in the Open Section although Bryant took home a little additional money after finishing with the higher tie-breaks. Bojkov’s win against the leader going into the last round, IM Enrico Sevillano, allowed him and Bryant, who beat IM Ricardo de Guzman, to leapfrog Sevillano into top spot.
