2nd D.C. International

The 2nd D.C. International was held from June 26-30, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, Virginia.
Three players made norms: GM norm for Priyadharshan Kannappan and IM norms for Kassa Korley and Awonder Liang. 11-year-old FM Awonder appears to be the youngest US player to have made a GM or IM norm, breaking that record (by about three months) set by Samuel Sevian, who also made his first IM norm at age 11. 13-year-old Sevian recently became the youngest player to achieve a GM norm as well, when he finished Second at the Foxwoods Open this past January.
